The US must win the quantum computing advantage

Disclaimer: This post was written when Quantum Xchange was focused on building and selling the first quantum network in the U.S.

We have since pivoted our business and product offering, with the invention of Phio Trusted Xchange (TX), a first-of-its-kind quantum-safe, out-of-band key delivery system. While our technology offering can support QKD deployments, we are not a quantum communications provider or reseller. Our quantum-safe key exchange supports quantum keys generated from any source(QRNG or QKD) protected by any method (all PQC key encapsulation algorithms).

The competitive market for quantum computing continues to grow into an international race as countries align themselves to become the world leader in quantum technology.

John Prisco, CEO of Quantum Xchange, shared his thoughts on the quantum computing race in an article recently featured on The Next Web, The quantum computing race the US can’t afford to lose.

In the article, Prisco points out that nations like China are heavily invested in research and development of quantum technology to prevent hacks and increase strong quantum infrastructure. Russia is also in the race pushing boundaries with quantum computer designs that are faster than anything else out there today.

The United States must concentrate on the digital space and aggressively compete in the quantum computing international arena. Furthermore, it is imperative the US remain on the defensive with cutting-edge quantum technology to keep the nations critical data safe from outside intruders.
