Toshiba has announced the commercial launch of its quantum key distribution (QKD) business across Europe, the US, and Asia. Quantum Xchange is mentioned as a strategic alliance partner and part of the company’s plans to move beyond hardware, stating “We are developing a quantum platform and services that will not only deliver quantum keys and a quantum network but ultimately enable the birth of a quantum internet.”
