Thomas F. Whayne

Thomas Whayne is currently the CFO of Overair and a former Operating Partner at Space Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests exclusively in space-based technologies. During his career as an investment banker at firms including Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley, Whayne provided strategic and financial advice to the boards and management teams of many of the world’s largest technology, media, telecommunications, and energy companies. He has advised on over 50 mergers and acquisitions transactions each valued at greater than $1 billion. Whayne was most recently the Chief Financial Officer at OneWeb, having led efforts to raise more than $3 billion of capital to fund the development of a global broadband communications constellation in Low Earth Orbit. Thomas holds an A.B. degree in Economics from Harvard College and a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
